Celebrating Collaboration: Dr. Chee Vang Publishes 1st Children's Book "Chaly Goes to See The Doctor"
I’m incredibly proud to share a special milestone that marks both a personal and professional achievement—my collaboration with my brother, Dr. Chee Vang, on his latest book. Dr. Vang is not just a decorated family doctor in the Twin Cities; he’s also a passionate advocate for the Hmong community. His vision for this children's book was clear: to bring more awareness and growth to Hmong medical terminology, ensuring that the Hmong language evolves alongside the medical field.
When Dr. Vang first shared his idea with me, I was immediately on board. As someone who has always believed in the power of language and education, I knew that helping him bring this project to life would be both a challenge and a privilege. Our shared goal was to create a resource that would be not only educational but also empowering for Hmong-speaking individuals in the medical field and beyond.
Working alongside my brother was a truly enriching experience. His dedication to his patients and the Hmong community is nothing short of inspiring. Throughout this journey, I saw firsthand the depth of his commitment to making healthcare more accessible and understandable for Hmong-speaking individuals. His book is a testament to his expertise and his passion for bridging the gap between language and medicine.
I am incredibly proud of Dr. Vang’s accomplishment and honored to have played a part in bringing his vision to life. This children's book is more than just a collection of terms; it’s a stepping stone towards greater understanding and representation in the medical field. I can’t wait to see the impact it will have on the community and beyond.
Thank you, Dr. Chee Vang, for trusting me with your vision and for your unwavering dedication to making a difference. Here’s to many more collaborations and to the continued growth of Hmong medical terminology.
